Under-9 (U9)


U9 age group is most players' first introduction to LVYSL play and playing soccer on a larger field.  Due to US Soccer and LVYSL guidelines, rosters are restricted to 14 players to a team at the U9 level.  Teams are traditionally split by gender and consist of U9 and U8 players. U9 is played 7 v 7 on a field sized 180' x 120' and is split between boys and girls leagues.  Games are traditionally played on Saturdays, and practices are held twice per week.  Practice days are dependent each season on coach schedule and field space. 


All coaches for U9 must be fully certified.   We are always in need of coaches at this and all levels, please consider signing up to coach!

Under-15 (U15)

Due to US Soccer and LVYSL guidelines, rosters are restricted to 18 players to a team at the U15 level.  U15 is played 9 v 9 on a field sized 240' x 150' and is split between boys and girls leagues and consist of U15 and U14 players. If there are not enough boys or girls to create a team, U15 does often create a "co-ed" team, which will be entered as a boys team in LVYSL. Games are traditionally played on Saturdays, and practices are held twice per week.  Practice days are dependent each season on coach schedule and field space. U15 uses a size-5 ball.

Under-13 (U13)

Under-5 (U5)

U11 is a step up from U9 competition, but is played on the same size field as U9.  Due to US Soccer and LVYSL guidelines, rosters are restricted to 14 players to a team at the U11 level . Rising Star Rec Soccer Programs


See below for the rec programs that Rising Star offers each season.  All players at every age group will need to wear cleats and shin guards. Please check below for which age group your player fits into.  Soccer season runs from the fall to the spring, and age groups reset every fall.  Therefore, players would be in the same age group in the Spring as they were in the previous Fall season, then move up an age group the following Fall season.

Under-7 (U7)


The U7 rec program is an "in-between" level for those kids who are ready to move on from the U5 level, but are not quite ready to move up to the big fields and LVYSL competition.  U7 is played on the same-sized field as U5.  Seasons will consist of 8 weeks of practices and games during the week, games being played between other Rising Star U7 teams, and occasionally a tournament with other local clubs.

U7 will be held twice per week, with in-house games beginning a few weeks into the season on one of the 2 days per week. Games will be 4 vs. 4 to begin focusing on team play.  Teams are co-ed and consist of U7 and U6 players. Registration fees are $55 for the season.

The U5 program is an introductory soccer program for our young, beginner soccer stars.  Practices will be held twice week, and will be centered around fun drills, games, and other activities to peak your kiddos interest in soccer! 


Sessions mostly consist of practices and drills, but there may be occasional games during the week.  Teams are co-ed and consist of U4 and U5 players. ‚ÄčUniforms will be provided for this age group.  Registration fees are $55 for the season.
